Well it's obvious we're at a stalemate on what 1 Cor 11 means. Therefore, what other passages can be brought to the discussion that explicitly teach uncut hair?

Paul is teaching an ordinance, nature is teaching also, that long hair is given for a covering.

1 Corinthians 11:2 2Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

13 Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? 14 Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, 15 but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering. 16 If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice—nor do the churches of God.

Good point.

Wasn't shearing or shaving an adulteress or prostitute's head a form of public humiliation for their unfaithfulness and sexual immorality?
1 Corinthians 11:6 New King James Version (NKJV)
6 For if a woman is not covered, let her also be shorn. But if it is shameful for a woman to be shorn or shaved, let her be covered.
Could this mean that if a woman would not wear her head covering, hypothetically she should be publicly shamed for her immodesty by having her head shorn? But if the woman truly understands how shameful it would be for a woman to have hear head shorn, she should avoid such public shaming and simply submit and wear her covering?

Quite a gross thing you did here with THE WORD OF GOD.

Man you twisted that.. I was only replying to what you said about RDP's statement:
"No one has said or suggested this is a heaven or hell issue?

rdp just wrote: "My advice to those who "tremble at His Word" and are "working out their own salvation with fear and trembling" (Philippians 2.12) would be to echo my Greek professor who said, "Keep the scissors out of your hair ladies." This is not "control" or "dominance by fear-mongering," but eternity is obviously a very serious matter."
Costeon say's:
Apparently it's a heaven or hell issue

To which I answered that, considering you went back 5 whole pages to get some quote I said, to show me this Brother RDP said, with your assertion at the end.

All I did was clarify what I believe he meant, to which now you are saying: "In short, if I don't accept your and rdp's view on uncut hair, then I am in rebellion against the Word of God and cannot be right in God's sight. Correct?"

All I can say is "What gives, bro?" I never said anything about anyone personally. But only in general, now if the shoe fits then wear it, but all I was doing was clarifying what I believe he meant. I don't believe anyone will go to hell just for any one thing, but blasphemy of the Holy Ghost. But if you give place to disobedience, you invite in the spirit of iniquity. And it will lead you right to the pit. No kingdom falls over night, it all happens one step, and action at a time.

Revelation 20:12 "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."

This word book here comes from the Greek Word "biblion" where we get the word Bible from.

So here let's bring that back farther Hebrews 10:26-31 "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, [27] But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. [28] He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: [29] Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God (The Living Word of God), and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? [30] For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. [31] It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."

For we don't have the law of Moses, but we do have the Bible which Revelation 19 says you will be judged by. When you willfully sin, you are "trodding under foot the Son of God" because He is the Living Word. The Bible is the Logo's and so is He, it's synonymous. "It's a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God."

Don’t justify your interpolation.

Yea but verse 15 says plainly ""But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering."
Because once again the word translated "for" comes from the Greek Word "anti" or "ἀντί". Meaning "for, instead of, in place of (something)."

What are we going to do with that? He's clearly not teaching a covering because he says "this woman's hair is given her instead of a covering."

So anything else referring to covering has to fit with this verse. When he's saying it's improper for a woman to pray with her head uncovered it has to fit with what he's saying in verse 15.

It's the truth.. That's exactly what that is. You can go be liberal as a pride parade in California, but it doesn't change the facts..

So is a woman going to hell if she rejects your understanding of 1 Cor 11 and cuts her hair, even while perhaps having "long hair"--as understood by the average person, who would probably find this whole debate incomprehensible?
