Let's contemplate who is moving to NB and starting a church......

Nevermind.

Where is Wally for the controversy?

Has anyone heard from Felicity and TB since they ventured East?

Mrs. LPW 01-18-2008 02:29 PM

I have seen them a couple of times... no big heartfelt discussions on where and what they may be doing in the future though.. HAHA...

I didn't ask, but I assume they are living in the Capital city since that's where I've seen them.

They might even be lurking!

It always stirs up both the Natives and non-natives when they are mentioned going anywhere.

I wondered if they were staying in the US to visit Tulsa!

For days I have tried to figure out the meaning of this expression. Could you shed some light?

BTW, we are back in NB and enjoying fellowship at CCC.

We have had a couple snow storms for which I am grateful as I rather enjoy shoveling snow. The other day I overdid it though. I shoveled my son's yard, then my in-law's yard, walk and deck, then I went back to my son's place and shoveled his deck which hadn't been shoveled from the storm before. I felt that my arms were going to fall off at the end of the day on Saturday.

We are also enjoyed the bright sunshine that we receive here most days. In BC it was days of rain and cloud, so we are thrilled to be "in the sunshine". LOL!

Shoveling is horrid. *shudders*

Seriously though.. it's a beautiful, albeit chilly, day.

It is hilarious!!! (I found it among some NCC student clips)

He sounds like somebody who was born in Islamabad and raised on the Miramichi.

As much as I hate to admit it, you do resemble my third cousin on the Miramichi side of the family. :toofunny

Here's some good news for the Psalmist Monkeyman:

http://www.harbourstation.nb.ca/imag...ther%20web.JPG
Due to overwhelming demand for their May 17 concert, gospel music favorite Bill Gaither and his Homecoming Friends have announced an additional show for Harbour Station in Saint John, N.B.

Tickets for the second concert – to be held on Sunday, May 18 at 3 p.m. – are now on sale. They can be purchased online on the LINK ABOVE or at the Harbour Station box office (657-1234 or 1-800-267-2800).

It's a GORGEOUS day! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy to be back in the land of the anointed and blessed! :bliss

How many are planning to attend Day of Prayer on Thursday?

Felicity 01-21-2008 10:23 AM

What's up with all the exercise smilies. Sheesh! Makes me tired just to look at them.

I have a scheduling conflict on Thursday - can't be in Tulsa and Fredericton at the same time. :killinme

Maple Leaf 01-21-2008 10:36 AM

Speaking of scheduling conflicts - good luck to anybody who hopes to get a parking place for Saturday and Sunday night of Youth Convention. There'll be more blue hair and Buicks in uptown Saint John than you've ever seen in one place before on those two nights.

Glad to see you are not frozen somewhere on a roadside.

An unknown to probably 98% of you on AFF... but the first Pastor my husband and I worked under. Bro. Gerald Perkins.

A kinder man I've never known personally. The only time I ever saw him riled was when he thought someone was hurting or leading one of his sheep astray.
He would go to the hospital to visit anyone in the community who was sick... whether they were a member of his church or not.
He was so longsuffering to his sheep that we often wondered if he were too soft!

He was not a great orator... he didn't have the deepest most profound sermons I had ever heard... but his messages were from the heart and from the Word.

He loved everyone.. whether he agreed with them or not and prayed for those he disagreed with.

He wasn't perfect by any means, but he was the best pastor you could have asked for. Because he loved us. He had a great sense of humor, I can still remember the way his shoulders would go up and down when he laughed.

He died of a heart attack at age 58... probably his love for Wendy's food had something to do with that.. but also he never stopped, from morning till night. And I know he basically worked himself to death for the Kingdom.

I don't know anyone who didn't like him... even when they didn't agree with him.
I miss him somedays... and look forward to seeing him again.

I hope Mrs LPW won't mind my toting this post over here.

May God bless the memory of Bro. and Sis. Gerald Perkins.

They were a wonderful couple.

Interestingly enough, while shovelling snow the other day, I was thinking about several men and women of God who have meant a great deal to me and actually began a post on the topic, but ran out of steam and deleted it.

Bro. Steadfast started an excellent thread giving tribute to some great people - if you haven't read it yet, you should, but I think that I will make some similar posts here about some great Canadians I have known.

P.S. Thanks to Sis. Felicity for paying tribute to a lady who means more to me than I have the ability to express.

I would happily go to a conference that had Dan Scott and Mark Morgan as the morning Bible Teachers, Kenneth Haney and Jim Cymbala speaking at the noon luncheon, and Johnny Godair and Joe Beesley as the evening evangelists.

If a man has heard from God, I've got an ear to hear. If he hasn't I've got a taste for Tim Hortons' tea and cookies.
