Do you have Kiosword also?

Is CE Gnome or KDE based?

Are you using NeroLinux or K3B for burning?

Kiosword- never heard of it until now... seems good if you have an internet connection.

CE is Gnome based *ducks thrown tomato*

I use Nautilus CD Burner for GNOME. I use Nero in windows.

Go over to the ubuntuforums and in the CE area you will find Kiosword directions. I believe it will work in Nautilus. I use it in Konqueror. I will dig up the howto and post it.

Remember I do have a Bible link addon for the board.

Speaking of which, is that a vbulletin mod only? I'd love to use it in smf if you got it.

First, make sure you have a seperate partition or free disk space you can use. If you don't use a partition manager (I recommend Partition Magic) to resize your windows partition leaving a few GB (4 or more) of free space for your linux distro.

There are better solutiosn than PM. Since Symantec bought them out it's not very good, but Im talking about a fresh mount anyways so I can use XP to partition the drive

Next, Choose your Distribution (I like Ubuntu Christian Edition as it includes e-sword) download the iso file and burn that to a disk using your favorite iso burning software (I prefer Nero for this). Then, keep the disk in the drive and reboot your system. Hit F8 when your bios starts to reload, (or whatever key takes you to your boot manager). As the Linux disk loads, follow through the instalation screens to install. If it is a 'live' CD, (like UbuntuCE) then let it load and click on the install icon when the desktop loads. Most distos will ask if you want to install on a seperate partition. Choose the use free space option with the default partitions for swap, etc.... When it is finished installing, reboot the system, and a LILO will pop up asking you which OS you want to load.... examples include Ubuntu, Windows XP, etc...
Ok wait a second. Im installing while IN the boot manager dialog? Is there an option there for that?

This LILO...is that a Windows thing or is that Linux or is that just part of the BIOS? Is the boot manager already installed as part of windows? And how does it handle booting Linux?

Also what file format for the other partition? Can I use the standard NTSF WinNT? Is it a logical partition?

Not as secure or functional (from an admin perspective) as vB though... I've used both.

Even with all the admin mods floating around out there? Never have used vbulletin.
