Some is plural, "some" is the other 11 Apostles bro. Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. Some shall not taste of death....likewise, one will taste of death.(Judas) |

So they believe the resurrection happened and the dead went to Heaven but the living had some ecstasy. Well you believe that is false and so do I. And what became of those who did not go to Heaven? I thought 50% of this doctrine was that some in the first century would not die until they saw the Lord coming in glory? If only the dead were taken to be with Jesus in 70ad guess what that means for this doctrine? The people he said that to DID DIE. They were not TAKEN at Christs coming. They had a nice spiritual experience but had to die and not be caught up to always be with the Lord. If the Lords coming in glory did not include them getting to be with him forever they were probably let down. They no doubt felt they had been "left behind". |

1Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 9But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. How can you assume the Church goes on as usual AFTER the coming of Jesus? Next off Prets make it FORCEFULLY CLEAR if scripture is not addressed to YOU what right do you have claiming anything that was given to someone else? The scriptures were addressed to certain Churches none of which we were in. And since Jesus already came and resurrected the ones he promised he would what right do we have to a Bible that was written to teach THEM how to prepare for his coming? How do we know he wants the same things for us as he did for them seeing his coming appears to have ended their "dispensation" or "Church age". It would be like someone trying to serve God in the New Testament Church out of a Bible that was only written to Jews. It would not be relevant FOR THEM. |

Matt 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. Matt 26:21 And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. If "some standing here" is referring to one individual. why not just say like Jesus did in Matt 26, "one of you?" "One" of you is limited to a single individual "Some" standing here" includes multiple individuals. Maybe your special dictionary has a better definition of these two words, but this is the best I can come up with. ONE: being or amounting to a single unit or individual or entire thing, item, or object rather than two or more; a single: SOME: of a certain unspecified number, amount, degree, etc.: So "some" will not taste death means more than one person will in fact die before they remaining ones SEE Him coming. |

They were only allowed to find out "the very hour of betrayal" so prophecy could not be altered by the disciples.(just the thought of someone arresting Jesus caused Peter to slice off a mans' ear) |

Matt 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING in his kingdom.
Mark 13:26 And then shall they SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING in the clouds with great power and glory. Was He "SEEN" at His "COMING?" |

Bowas, what would happen to somebody that you found out would kill one of your closest loved ones in one year. And you found a way to see the future and could verify it?
Would they still be living on the day the event of killing your loved one took place? |
