That always has been the standard. He didn't raise the bar he lowered it. That's the point. He took a short cut. It's not just that it was less expensive and less time it is that it required so much less input from others into his education.

You are kidding right?

No serious theological training and yet still the best man to head up UGST?

The Oversight Committee doesn't determine the head of a University. They check the rigor of the program. If they (UGST) begin to operate like University of South Africa guess what? They will lose accreditation in a heartbeat.

OK I would just have to take your word on that. They do NOT examine the credentials of Faculty and Staff then?

They do. But there are not in charge of who is the head of the University.

Well, i'm with MMM! Why go to the school DKB is the head of, and pay $30,000
when I can do Africa for $3,000? and still be a real degree!
Thank bro DKB! I'll follow your lead...

Max, on you're list of people with degree's, were the last two real or not?

I made some commentary about the last two on my list on the original post.

If it doesn't mean anything then I guess we should just delete that post...after all it is meaningless.

Im not adding value or speculating value into it, you are. I simply added to the topic of Bernards education. Everyone of your speculative questions were negative. Why is that?

Nobody is untouchable. As I said, point out the facts. I never said let's not point out the facts.

If it's all about money, I think that sends a terrible message about the importance of scholarship and the value of the educational process itself. I want to see DKB promote quality schools to those under his leadership in our movement. He has the educational "chops" to do so. I don't want to see that tarnished.

You'd have to ask David Bernard

Having studied at a university does not mean someone was persuing a degree from that university.

The University of S Africa is clearly not as good a place to for someone wanting to get a broad theological education as Universities in the US.

Apparently some of you are going to reach your own conclusions about the man's character and education without his side of the story.

Why did he go there? I don't know.

Did he get an education in theology of some kind? Im sure he did but to what degree, again we don't know. I don't see the value in conjecture
