Jesus did not say, nor provide the slightest hint to Martha, that baptism would result in eternal life. The fact is, Jesus didn't make baptism a part of His promise of eternal life to her. Martha understood what He was saying and responded properly. "She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world."

Your statement that "Jesus was speaking to her, knowing that she had already been baptized" has no scriptural basis nor is it suggested in scripture that Martha had been baptized. You're suggesting that you know what was in Jesus' mind when He was speaking to her. That's absurd.

I voted yes could have voted no. In the strictest sense I would say no because we are justified by faith. But in the normal sense if our faith is genuine then we will seek baptism, therefore some who rejects baptism has likely not even experienced justification.

On the flip side I do believe it is possible to be baptized without experiencing saving faith or true repentance. I think that's an epidemic in American Christianity.

it seems to me that the unwitting sheep in 'the separation of sheep and goats' parable must represent those who did not cry 'Lord, Lord, so while we consider confession, acceptance and baptism the legitimate path, there is a message there that cannot be denied. the same path seems available to a doer of the Word who had never made any of the noises or motions we make to signify acceptance of Christ. For that matter, you cannot accept Christ with your mouth. You lose the Holy Spirit when you attempt to codify It's existence, imo.

Note that in the video, we don't actually hear what the preacher said, so who knows? Maybe he was Oneness and used the right phraseology and the guy really was saved! :lol
