There is a difference between authority, and ministering to people. We are all called to minister, and to proclaim the gospel.

And just because someone ministers and proclaims the gospel doesn't mean they are in authority, right?

I'm not sure why people think that preaching means you have authority over your audience. I mean, you are just preaching from scripture. It's no different than doing so in a private setting with your neighbor. It doesn't mean you have authority over your neighbor, does it? LOL!

I believe 1 Thess. 4:11 is directed at men, yet they don't seem to be paying much attention!! LOL!

1Th 4:11
And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

God does not "call" contrary to His Word......

"BRETHREN,be not many TEACHERS, ....."

The early church, as defined in the Bible [not Catholic "church" councils], did not even consider women in the place of a minister. No more than they considered Jesus to be the "2nd person in the trinity."

Good Biblical answer Bro. James.....

I wonder if the apostle Paul will have to answer to the "Big Boss," as Heavenlyone claims, for obeying the Holy Spirit in I Tim. 2:11-15?

Sad, very sad............
