Re: Can Women Pastor ?
Well, I fear for us who know the truth while a world perishes...
It is a fearful thing NOT to obey the Lord when He told us to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. We do not need women trying to be men or men trying to be women. We just all need to do our job in the light of eternity. I fear what the Lord will say to us who have NOT done our job... |

I personally believe in women such as Sister Holmes and others like her...my friend if she doesn't make it in most of us don't even have a chance... |
Re: Can Women Pastor ?
While the thought of a manly women is puckish (is that a word?) the thought of a woman letting someone perish is just because she is a woman is a horror of horrors.

Any woman with any sense at all is not going to be pushing and shoving men for a place among them...lol...

What do we do w/ PLAIN Scripture????????
Heavenlyone's response does not even merit a scholarly response [i.e., just plumb silly!]. Deal w/ I Tim. 2:11-15, I Cor. 14:34, I Tim. 3:1-6, etc. Could not be plainer. Get honest w/ Scripture.
I have a copy of Dr. Scheel's book & I honestly cannot believe that anyone would go for such sloppy scholarship. It is literally FILLED w/ biases's unsupported from the literal text of God's Word. I gave a copy of it to a greek prefessor [who's a good friend of mine] & he said that he did not even care to finish the book because of its elementary scholarship. But, again, I do honor indeed the sacrifices that Sis Alvear has made, but I must have an honest heart w/ the plainly written Word of God [I Tim. 2:11-15, I Cor. 14:34, etc.]. I sincerely do not understand how in the world someone can simply read these verses & believe in women preachers, that is, if you simply allow the literal text to speak to you as opposed to vice-versa. Have debated this issue for years now, & have NEVER ONCE seen any Biblical support...which is what will judge us in eternity, not popular names. But I do agree, that we need to get out of our beds of ease & show the truth to a dying/deceived world. Out of pocket for a few days.............. |
Final Thought.............
I've noticed over the years that women preachers invariably, almost ALWAYS appeal to dreams & visions [i.e., Appeals outside of the text of God's Word]. Certainly there needs to be a divine call into the ministry, but then that "call" must be aligned w/ the written Word for verification.
In the case of women preachers, the "call" & the Word are in contrast to one another. Besides, will we also "teach" our new converts about I Tim. 2:11-15, or will we simply explain that portion of the Bible away to them? If we really care for them, we will declare [& owe them] "the whole counsel of God." "God is not the author of confusion." |
Re: Can Women Pastor ?
To answer the question. If they are called they had better.
