What's all this I hear about TC going to the Miramichi, DM leaving cowtown, and TB and F joining ranks with UPC again and moving to take over church in CowTown? It certainly doesn't pay for Birdie to be flittin to and fro around the world. So hard to keep up on the news. Anyone know anything?

The congregation here at Peoples Full Gospel Church would certainly be surprised at this rumour! :) I don't think Cowtown would actually be interested in TB & F, but it's nice that some folks THINK we would be a consideration.

Someone who knows that part of the family very well apparently.

Who art thou, Birdie? :)

Birdie doesn't share sources but no one has answered some of my questions. Is what I am asking true? TB and F joining up again as in requesting UPC license at SS surprised me somewhat. Is this true?

It isn't true. Nobody requested UPC license at SS either so don't believe everything you hear. Some would like for that to happen of course and may be hoping, but that's very different from the actuality.

God bless you whoever you are. :)

Someone who is a day late and a dollar short!

TO is indeed the pastor elect in scenic Nordin

TB's request for credentials will be made directly to FMD (thought I would start a new rumor)

Will it be the long road home in Cowtown?

Different preachers have been trying out as was told me by members of the cowtown church but I have not heard if any votes were on the horizon.

Truly Blessed 08-23-2007 10:06 AM

I'm still waiting for Cowtown to contact me! I love Cowtown! It's a booming community right now and one of the more beautiful areas of the province. I received a call yesterday saying I was going to Tracy and to Cowtown. Perhaps I could live in Jemseg and commute between the two. :)

Truly Blessed 08-23-2007 10:14 AM

Vancouver has been voted the most "liveable" city in the world for the fifth year in a row. According to the Economist Intelligence Unit, an Economist magazine affiliate, Vancouver offers the most exceptional quality of life of any of 132 cities polled this year.

Sorry you Americans, no U.S. cities made it onto the Economists Intelligence Unit's top 10 list!

Inquiring yankee minds want to know...:usa

LOL! The real name is Sussex. It is the dairy town of NB, but has become a major potash mine economy in recent years. Felicity and I spent a year in Sussex early on in our ministry and then two years there when we came home from Hong Kong in 1988. The DS for AD, Bro. RAB, was pastor for more than 30 years in Sussex.

Truly Blessed 08-23-2007 03:45 PM

Some of you might be interested to know what became of Pelet. I heard he has just been voted in as the new pastor at Nordin, NB which is just outside Newcastle/Chatham.

What happened in Surrey yesterday?! I saw just the last few seconds of a news report on Good Morning America...looked like maybe a hot air balloon went down or something?!

A hot air balloon had their propane tank explode as it was taking off with 12 people aboard. It landed in a trailer park and ignited fires there besides injuring several on board the balloon. Some jumped out of the balloon and injured themselves in the fall.

Barb, what is so sad about this story is that this hot air balloon ride was a birthday present for a woman who would be celebrating her 50th birthday on Wednesday. Her husband and two daughters had arranged this for her. Unfortunately she and one of her daughters didn't escape the inferno. The rest of the 13 aboard jumped out, but for some reason they didn't.

Today was the official opening and dedication of the new UPC church in Riverview N.B. .Very good service-I believe a cousin of Felicity's was there and spoke a few words about how God has healed him in the past (G.C.)

G.C. was there???? Is he attending that church? He's a Wesleyan. I'm surprised they would have him sharing in a UPC service. I think it's great, but I'm surprised.

I was just talking a few minutes ago with someone who was at that service.

And yes, G.C. did have a remarkable healing a number of years ago. He knows about old time Pentecost.

How many do they have attending the Riverview church?

Facebook! LOL! I have 30+ friend requests. I've only allowed my kids and Betty Anne Drost so far. :D

My son is the one who signed me up. I don't know if I want to get involved with all that to be honest. It sure is popular!
