A liberal who understands the heart and mind of God ... and keeps his eyes on the Author and Finisher of our faith ... and not on someone's sleeve, skirt length or if they look like you.

The way I was raised, we wouldn't even call it them UPC, we would call them chaismatic.

But what determines who's what...

I know of a Well Known Man who Preaches Ultra Conservative conferences and is a Great Bible Teacher.. but found out recently that UC Folks consider him a Moderate because of his use of Video in the Church...

But what Constitutes a Liberal in your Book???

To me.. I would consider a UPC church liberal if they..

Men wearing Shorts..
Men with long hair..
Women wearing pants..
Women cutting hair...
Women wearing make-up..
Showing Movies in church..

Things like this...

Moderate to me is..
Use of Video...
Allowing Sports...
Allowing Facial hair on men...
Short Sleeve shirts for men...

What I am getting from this thread is this-

The clothes that you do/do not wear, and the activities that you do/do not partake in, determines whether you are classified as a UC, Con, or a Liberal Apostolic??? Sounds like a lot of 'WORKS' to my finite mind.

Hmmm...thank God for Apostolic doctrine and truth. I am thankful that the WORD of God is my roadmap, and not some man with his own idealogies and preferences.
