I think most is the way he goes about doing things...posting pictures and names ...Some say he thinks he has more truth than others...I really don't know. My opinion (and it is personal) I think he is a good man trying to do something for the Lord. I would say he is self educated and maybe a little crude in his expressions but my personal opinion of him is that he is a good man. You may read on his site his beliefs. Some things we do not see alike but the body of Christ is diverse in many things and we all must respect each other and I respect him. At one time he said something about me that was not true and had it on the net. I wrote him. He asked forgiveness and even though we may differ it takes a man to ask forgiveness. I have never made the statement that I am a woman preacher. I am a missionary whatever that may mean. To some it means a preacher...to others it means a helper...whatever it may mean I have done my best to fulfill what I feel God called me to do. I have taken up for women but that does not mean I go along with loud mouthed women... a woman's greatest asset is humility. I once visited a church with m husband and the pastor got up and said, "we have Sister Janice here, she claims to be a woman preacher since we do not believe in women preachers she can come up here and prophecy..." That was uncalled for howeverI just went and told the a missioary story...whereever we go if they want to hear a happening on the field I will tell them a story from the field...but if they do not want me to say anything I just sit them and Brother Alvear can preach or whatever...I feel the cause of souls is much greater than my personal feeling...and I don't get my feelings hurt... You are not rude...I hope I do not sound rude...we just see the Bible different however for my part I hope to be your friend and the friend of all God's precious people. |

Re: Can Women Pastor ?
If God had not known man needed help, HE would not have provided him an helper!
If man and woman had not needed HELP, God would not have provided His Son for a sinless offering to come and die for mankind (man and woman). Jesus went back to where he came from, that the Comforter (Holy Ghost, Spirit of Truth), could come and HELP US ALL!! Under God 's New Will and Testament, HE, like any loving parent should do, made equal provisions for all His sons and daughters. Under the Old Will and Testament, after the daughters of one of the tribes, wanted their part of their father's inheritance. God told Moses that they should have their part of their father's inheritance. After all, it is the FATHER"S WILL! It's HIS good pleasure to give the kingdom to HIS little flock! IF there were not both males and females in the flock, it would not grow any larger. If the Promise (inheritance) of the Father (Holy Ghost) wasn't intended for both men and women, why was it poured out on both. If WHOSOEVER can come and drink of the "Water of Life" freely, who is to say you can't participate! I believe I will leave the Father's business to the FATHER! Sometimes the things I read on threads like this one, gives me the impression that some men cannot stand the idea of the women sharing in the inheritance! In my late father's will, after all his wishes, etc. had been written, there was a short, and even to us, humorous, one liner, "If anyone contests this will, give him a dollar and that's all". I can assure you, there was no contesting Dad's will. There was no need to. He knew his children would not contest HIS WILL!! If GOD's Last Will and Testament states that there is no difference to those in Christ, whether they be male and female, bond or free, etc, etc,...., who would want to contest it!!! GOD IS FAIR!:heart In that first century, things were being set in order. Things were not in order. The church at Corinth was not in order. Paul asked how a man could take care of the Lord's house UN- TIL he got his OWN house in order. If your own house is not in order, it is no time to start trying to tell GOD how to run HIS HOUSE (church). If a man cannot take care of his house, he surely can't properly take care of the Lord's house. If your life is not in order, don't ex- pect people to entrust their souls into your care. You may fool some of the people sometime, but you will NOT fool all the people ALL the time. Not any of us, male or female, will ever FOOL GOD! These words are not meant for offense but to help. The Holy Ghost IN a male or female, yielded to GOD, can be a helper, whether in a male or female! It's not the vessel, but the Content, that is important!:heart IN CHRIST there is NO DIFFERENCE!!! There is none of us within ourselves that are worthy! It's of HIS MERCIES that we are not comsumed!!! But HE IS ever MERCIFUL, not willing that any should perish! We ALL need to humble ourselves under the Mighty Hand of God and HE will lift us up!! There is an alternative if we don't willingly humble ourselves. Blessings, Falla39 |

Sweet Sister Falla...what an heritage you have in the gospel...
You said some of the same things my husband says...we all need each other in te gospel...Sad many people cannot understand cultures and history...lol...I don't think Paul would tell a woman to prophecy...sing...whatever in minutes before and then tell her to shut up... I am glad for the time I have had to study Bible history and especially Jewish history. |

IMO not the best way to engage the topic. Very emotional and little to no substance. I'm sure you've studied this topic before. Give us what you have. |

(same accounts in Mark) John 5 His mother said to the servants, "Whatever He says to you, do it." John 2:9 9 When the headwaiter tasted the water which had become wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew ), the headwaiter called the bridegroom, John 12:26 26 "If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also ; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him. Romans 13:4 4 for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid ; for it does not bear the sword for nothing ; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil. Romans 15:8 8 For I say that Christ has become a servant to the circumcision on behalf of the truth of God to confirm the promises given to the fathers, Romans 16:1 Greetings and Love Expressed 1 I commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea ; BUt the LORD also calls Paul and Apollos "servants" 5 What then is Apollos ? And what is Paul ? Servants through whom you believed, even as the Lord gave opportunity to each one. 2 Corinthians 3:6 6 who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit ; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 2 Corinthians 6:4 4 but in everything commending ourselves as servants of God, in much endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in distresses, 2 Corinthians 11:15 15 Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds. 2 Corinthians 11:23 23 Are they servants of Christ ?-I speak as if insane -I more so ; in far more labors, in far more imprisonments, beaten times without number, often in danger of death. Galatians 2 17 "But if, while seeking to be justified in Christ, we ourselves have also been found sinners, is Christ then a minister of sin ? May it never be! Ephesians 3 7 of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of God's grace which was given to me according to the working of His power Ephesians 6 21 But that you also may know about my circumstances , how I am doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, will make everything known to you. Philippians 1 Paul and Timothy, bond-servants of Christ Jesus, To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, including the overseers and deacons : 7 just as you learned it from Epaphras, our beloved fellow bond-servant, who is a faithful servant of Christ on our behalf, Colossians 1:23 23 if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister. Colossians 1:25 25 Of this church I was made a minister according to the stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God, Colossians 4:7 7 As to all my affairs, Tychicus, our beloved brother and faithful servant and fellow bond-servant in the Lord, will bring you information 8 Deacons likewise must be men of dignity, not double-tongued, or addicted to much wine or fond of sordid gain, 1 Timothy 3:12 12 Deacons must be husbands of only one wife, and good managers of their children and their own households. 1 Timothy 4:6 A Good Minister's Discipline 6 In pointing out these things to the brethren, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound doctrine which you have been following. How did Paul most use this word? What kind of people did he describe? Just questions to consider. |
