IDK. Maybe it's the repugnant stench of shrimp baking on the sandy shore.

I don't know if I agree with you. It does seem that the Music Department attracts a certain ilk--more often than other departments, anyway.

The most masculine women I've seen in the church are usually the ones that want to preach. That doesn't mean that all women preachers are lesbians or butch--obviously. It does seem that the position of authority attracts masculine women. Sometimes. :) *NOT* shooting at anyone in particular. Maybe simply being in a position of authority creates the perception. I'm not sure.

I definitely agree that it seems this way.

Tell them that it is rude to tell people to shut up. This is one of my pet peeves. I really dislike those two words. lol

Ya know, reading the first post is decieving. The starter of this thread makes the comment about feminine but really means effeminate. Yet they are intentional in what they are doing.

I think that they have a person they intentionally are shooting at with their blanket statement about so many effeminate musicians.

That would be like me saying "how come there are so many evil people in Illinois?" based just upon Obama?

The starter of this thread has an agenda.

Based off of this post I have come to suspect that you and Sarah Palin must be related. Can you see Russia from your house too

However when ones character defines you as effeminate. If people in the world would question your sexuality based on your character than what does God think and is your girly worship leader splitting the pit with his gay mannerisms.

Agreed.

I really thought there would be more opinions on the matter. Perhaps my newness is showing.

Re: How feminine is too feminine?

I am going to give my opinion. If your character defines you as a feminine male than per the scripture I think you may be in danger within God's court. God gave definitive characteristics to men and women. You don't have to hunt and fight and spit to be a man. I am a man, I hunt. I like guns. I like nice clothes and I will pay for a good haircut. I will wear pink. I am without a doubt, man. My wife is without a doubt a woman. Naturally, my sexuality is definitive as a man who enjoys women.

With that said, I seen men both in the world and in the church who have characteristics which are questionable. Characteristics which are similar to that of a woman. I would define them as feminine men. Not metrosexual. My concern is not the men in the world but the ones in our churches that we place at the forefront of ministry because talent overrides their character.

If anyone has been around feminine gay men through work or family or other venues, you can be sure that these types of men will approach these feminine "straight" men. Introducing to them perhaps spirits that are unfamiliar. Unfamiliar spirits can be overwhelming and perhaps catch these feminine men in a weak spiritual state in which they may give in?

When do we address this issue that men need to act like men? This IMO is just as important as any other matter that pertains to salvation.
