Yes. I don't recall whether it was a/the primary reason for his decision, but the rather large disparity in tuition fees (UNISA vs American Universities) was a consideration. He thanked God for the technology that was making the competition possible. He was also not shy about discussing some of the requirements.

Of course I am a nobody, but there were several in attendance that were in enrolled in doctoral programs themselves...

Rigor.

So Sgraves goes through a program that takes a minimum of 2.5 years to complete the course work and another 1.5 minimum to complete the dissertation. This would be doing it full time. So yes it does appear odd to me when DKB can complete his in 2. Vastly inferior.

Not sure how many Oneness papers they get.

Would add credibility if the paper had to be presented and defended.

Sure, but again it's speculation to assume DKB was exempted

I can afford a new Mercedes yet my Honda minivan works just fine.

Any reason you can think of that they would be so much cheaper?

Maybe smaller number of faculty members when you just do a Thesis?

Only takes 2 years?

Those might be factors.

Prax take a look at what Dan Segraves went through to get his PhD.

"The Doctor of Philosophy program will take 4 to 7 years to complete, depending on how long the student takes to complete the dissertation. Coursework can usually be finished in 2.5 - 3.5 years."

As I said, I understand that. My point has been and still is that this is not akin to a degree mill.

I never said you did say he did.

I think it's clearly obvious to everyone that he did not go through what he would have to to get a PHd from an American school. That is beside my point though

You needed an F350 to do the job in theology that he wants to be considered great at, and he went and bought a used Chevy Luv.
