Abuse - (noun & verb) 1. Special treatment for certain members of the board. Typically reserved for use by rrford. 2. The primary hobby of UPC and/or Apostolic preachers who actually believe some things are sin. *See also Standards. 3. When a preacher tells someone something they don't want to hear.

Anonymity - (noun) The quality of life which allows liberals to speak.


Apostolic Complex - A term that encapsulates all Apostolic Oneness Apostolics of all organizations, the UPC, the ALJC, the GIB, the ABC... The term was coined by Carpenter who was tired of saying something about the UPC culture only for someone to waste his time and say, "Well, I believe in standards but I am not in the UPC..."

Backslider - (noun) The subject of much controversy, this term refers to those whose love has waxed cold. See also Going Charismatic.

Balanced, See Moderate - The place where God abides, and a vessel in whom he delights! A lover of Truth and a Lover of Souls!

Bashing Standards - See Coopering.

Bearing False Witness - (verb) According to Chancellor, what the "Wicked" constantly do, even precluding eating and sleeping. *Addendum: by Coonskinner - Also used to describe references to song leaders as "worship leaders."

Beating a Dead Horse - this term is used on topics that are discussed over and over and over and over and over and over again. Example - standards.


Being like Coonskinner - (idiom) an admonition to straighten out and be pleasant, a gentleman, and to honor women and wildlife in harmony with God and nature. Often issued when PMS, Coopering or Posse activity is detected.

BFM - (noun) Acronym for Big Fat Meanie, a term sometimes used to refer to members of the Posse, or those who are like minded. Meant originally as a pejorative term, but considered as honorific by those so referenced.

Big Red Truck - (noun) Things placed into view at times that RRFORD's intellectual sensibilities prohibit sitting one more moment staring at such things without motivating us all to move beyond the obvious.


Bipolar - (noun/adjective) Coined by Rhoni to describe the person or the condition of a person who is not responsive to psychobabble, and expresses views worthy of professional study.


Blame the Lortab - funny, outlandish, bizarre post.

Blaspheme - (verb) A word used to descripe Elder Elpley's assertion that not everyone is saved, and that people can speak in tongues without being saved.

Blue Denim Whale - (noun) Coined to denigrate very large Apostolic ladies who sometimes wear denim skirts. Normally accompanied by Coopering. Denim skirt is normally worn with white bobby socks and tennis shoes.

Bobbed Hair Woman - self explanatory (or see Renda's avatar pic) *See Epleyisms.


Bonehead - (noun) A stubborn, cranky NFCF male poster experiencing PMS.


Boneheaded - A term for WWOD who fails to see the true argument to this very day.

Britney Spears Look-Alike - Any female who has given up man-made standards. *See also Jan Crouch.

Buh-bye! - (noun)
1. Term used to let disgruntled posters know that while we were happy to have them here, they are now free to move about the country and we wish them well on their journey to better posting-grounds, mm'kay? Buh-bye now!
2. Term used to let Pressing-On know that she has exceeded her sign-off message limit, and must now exit the building. Buh-bye now! Okay, Buh-bye!



Burkha Babes - (noun) Coined by ILG as a referrence to the female gender who must cover herself entirely from head to toe to insure no lust will be incited in the male species anywhere near her vicinity.


Butchering the Hogs - (verb) Coined by Brother Epley, this is a term that refers to the kind of passionate preaching of Bible truths that edifies the sincere and infuriates the carnal.

Chain Yank Award - (noun) Award given to the shysters of NFCF who post misinformation to deliberately confuse other posters.



Charismatic - Thad's Definition: ANYONE who no longer attends a UPC affiliated church or one who has left the MOTHER SHIP and does not adhere to standards.

Charismatic- Dora's Definition: Christian-types who twirl around while holding those flowing gold lame' fabrics on sticks and do loopty-loops to YANNI-esque worship music using minor chords while vocalists adlib prophetic utterances for hours in the microphone!

Charm - (noun) A quality lacking in various posters when someone differs from their position or theology. Its absence can be found in posts accompanied primarily with words like "moron(ic)", "idiot(ic)", "stupid", "bozo", or many other demeaning labels.
Its failure to be present is usually a sign of an absence of substantial arguments and counterpoints.

Church - (noun) Where you abuse your relatives, or where the lawn mowers used to be kept.

Come into the oxygen - A phrase that was used to try to revive the braincells of a poster who was keeping up with how many ministers on the forum were breaking curfew.

Company Men - UPC ministers who are strict apologists for the organization and everything it stands for. AKA: The Good Old Boys Club. See also: Posse.

Conservative - (adjective) Biblical. Everyone admits to being a conservative.

Consistency - For conservatives, a term that has as much significance as the Easter Bunny's corn cob pipe.

Coonerisms - Man from Kansas who consistently posts original fancy sayings that dig out the roots of concepts & thought.

Coon's Den - Place where a leading member of the Posse dwells.

Coopering - (verb) The persistent yet lame attempt on the part of those who once embraced standards of separation to ridicule these standards and those who observe them. Coined by Bishop Ferd, the Petulant Cavalier.

Crazed Maniacs - (noun) Coined by Chancellor to describe those individuals who, not being members of MENSA, praise the Lord in a demonstrative way. Since the old FCF days, Coonskinner, in his typical fun loving manner, has been keeping track of the number of times it has been used.

CWTC - A book written by Thomas Fudge titled Christianity Without the Cross.

Cull 'em - These forumites will make what they think is a valid point, and stick out their virtual chests like they have really treed a big one, not realizing that once again, they have come up short.

This is a trait commonly manifested by pro-tv posters.

Dan Scott - Mythical figure who is sometimes up and sometimes down in popularity in NFCF discussions, but who appears to be Pentecost's link to high church Anglicanism (a post abandoned by T Fudge when he chose to include the word 'WITHOUT' in the title of a literary canard).

Dear Friend - Coined by NLYP to refer to any individual who has ever shared more than 5 molecules of atmosphere, passed within 12 feet in a public place, or whose voice was ever heard on a telephone, automated call generator, or voice message with the person claiming the dear friend. Employed in debate in a manner similar to an appeal to authority. Dear friends generally are but are not limited to being UPCI luminaries.


Demon Possessed - (idiom) An occasional description by Benincasa when he blows away the small talk and levels a liberal flake or two. Definition currently in contest pending review of TBA's posting.

Drinking the Whole Bottle of Shampoo - Coined by Bro. Epley as a means of suicide or to end it all. *See Epleyisms.

Ear Bobbed - (verb) Phrase coined on NFCF by Bro. Epley for one that has placed ornamental jewelry on the ear. Usually goes hand in hand with the phrases bobbed haired, Lady Man of God, and False Prophet.

Emma - A very self-righteous friend of ILG.


Entertainment vs Ministry - Frequent discussion concerning the nature of NFCF, which finds Wally - who defines NFCF as entertainment ... compromised, making passionate arguments in favor of TV. (Oh ... that IS entertainment.. sorry.)

Epleyisms - Words of Wisdom from Elder Epley.

Epley-ites - A term used to describe people who would not allow a person with facial hair, a wedding ring, or short sleeves to be a part of HIS church. Also used to describe very short people who wear funny looking hats.

Estrogen Brigade - (noun) Used to denote a group of lady posters, usually including at least one female man of God, for whom life appears to be a series of chemical events. This group of posters tend to reduce every issue to an "us vs. them" battle of the sexes. Also, A group of prolific females who run to the defense of anyone attacked by the Posse. *See also Posse.



Ethiopians - (noun) According to some .. the missing 3/4 of the church, since Oct 14, 2004.


EX'ers - Ex UPC people.

Exorcism - (noun) The practice of removing 'spirits' that dwell in Christians who are bored with church, often accompanied by an offering.

Extra conservative - Those who would claim to be moderate but who are still UPC through and through. They may believe TV is ok, but they would never ever compromise or leave the UPC with a liberal contingency. These people are the ones who have the ability to use common sense and buck the company line if necessary but they would never leave the UPC.


Fat Pitch - (noun ) Refers to most posts by those who have Gone Charismatic. Easy to refute for members of the Posse.


Female Visual Stimulus - An impossibility, according to ILG, who single-handedly took down Calvin Klein and a few other major Madison avenue enterprises, pointing out that women have no means of interpreting visual information in a manner that results in arousal.

Feminazi - Synonym for members of the Estrogen Brigade. Normally defined by Nazi men.

Feral - (adj) Used when you are losing an argument and as a last ditch effort you use something that is only true in an extremely small percentage of the population to try and prove your point. Usually used with the word "children", as in "Well, you know, in the case of feral children....". Also used to describe the rabid behavior of members of the Estrogen Brigade when confronted by the unassailable arguments and sweet spirits of The Posse.


FFF - (proper noun) An acronym for one of the most elite fraternities in the lore of FCF/NFCF, Felicity's Favored Few. This is a very small group of posters who have distinguished themselves sufficiently to achieve this coveted status. Membership is at the sole discretion of Felicity, the oft acknowledged Queen of NFCF. Asking to be admitted automatically disqualifies one from membership.

Food Pope - Ferd. Ask him all cooking questions. He is from Louisiana so he knows his stuff.

Get Over It! - (adverbial phrase) Expression of dismay from one to another when the topic seems trite and mundane. Often seen in colors.


Give Me A Break - Used by some to express exasperation at certain posts while at the same time exercising restraint at what they would really like to say! See also Ripley's Believe It or Not!

GNC - A NFCF parallel universe where smiling is prohibited except in response to bad country music, and the residents are kind to visitors except where questions regarding UPC licensing are asked.

GOEWKTS - "Gang Of Eight Will Keep Thad Straight" - Hijacking of the Thad's Tab thread by Eight Female Members of the board. Used in the shorter version to try to allay the continued siege of the thread.

Going Charismatic - (adj) Term used by any conservative Pentecostal about anyone who disagrees with them on hair, makeup, sleeve length, wearing deodorant, or whatever their issue is.

Golf - (noun) Formerly a "worldy sport" frowned upon by "The Manual". After discovery by certain members of the "Wolfpack" it is no longer considered "worldy" and therefore no longer frowned upon by "The Manual".
Now termed a heavenly pursuit by some members of the "posse".


GoodBye Cruel World Post - (noun) A phenomenon recognized, documented and extensively analyzed by Timlan wherein an individual obtains attention and restores a measure of prominence in the NFCF community by declaring the intent to 'leave' or cease posting. May often be used in a Samsonesque effort to indict those who would have been responsible for the conjectured disappearance of the poster. Also 'swan song'.

Gossip(noun)--News about people we like.

Greasy Gracer - (adj) Someone who understands the true application and meaning of the Grace of God. Those who would embrace the salvific grace of God in the face of others mocking and claiming they believe in a religion where "anything goes".

Haneywood - (noun) Term coined and used by Jim Yohe to describe the city of the UPCI headquarters. - See also The White House or the Vatican.
Have A Miserable Day/Night - What Thad says to people when he has become disgruntled toward them.

HELLOOO??? - That means are you paying attention? Can you grasp the conversation?

Historian - Bishop1 and Timlan. Gives history and stories for UPC folks.

Humility - (adj) Something the Posse has in spades, and is proud of.

Hyper-critical religious phariseeism - coined by Tribblenator. A term used to describe those who hold to Biblical Christian doctrines on a variety of subjects when there is a need to target them as opponents of private dogma.

"I Almost Wept" - A term by my dear friend NYLP when accosted by KansasPreacher and taken to task for Television Advertising.

Idiot - (adverb) Grammatical murderous use of this word was the spark of a futile outcry to self-police the members of this board. See "Just Joking".



Infernal Document - (noun) Referring to the document voted into existence in 1992 by the UPCI that all licensed ministers have to sign every year pledging allegiance to a series of beliefs. The document itself violates the Manual's statement to maintain unity of the brethren until we come into unity of the faith. It led to the exodus of many wonderful founding members of the UPCI and a handful of folk that had went charismatic.

Invisible mode - (noun) Status of being online is hidden with this setting. This annoys Thad more than any other part of the board.

Lady Man of God - (noun) Origin uncertain, usually attributed to Steadfast or Elder Epley. Refers to woman preacher. See also oxymoron. AKA: Lady Talkers and the Equivalent of Balaam's Donkey.

Liberal - (noun) Person or persons appointed to initiate throwing stones at conservatives, after their judgment of being Pharisees.

Liberal - (noun) Someone who is likely pro-life and anti-homosexual marriage and a Christian but doesn't hold to PAJC doctrine. No single person will declare "I am a liberal." See Conservative.

"Lost as two boys kissing" - Trinitarians, trinitarian sympathizers, sympathizers of trinitarian sympathizers, and bobbed hair women. See also "Epleyisms."

Love His/Her Guts - A very enthusiastic way of describing fondness or friendship, usually associated with bubbly personalities like Dora - who coined the term.

Magic Hair - (noun) 1. A term for RRH's doctrine of mysticism, apparently resulting from traditionalists realizing there is a dearth of scripture for uncut-hair-or-hell. 2. Also propagated by mysticists like LS as doctrine who endorses a women's long hair to be used as a magic talisman. Instances are related and touted such as women literally laying their hair over a sick child and the child healed specifically because of the uncut hair. The doctrine leads to further outlandish claims such as divorce and adultery in pentecostal homes are a direct result of women cutting their hair. Afraid of confrontation, UPC leadership (and of course conservatives on NFCF) do not refute what they deep-down know is unscriptural and dangerous doctrine. But since it indirectly supports the uncut hair doctrine (for which there is a lack of scriptural support), Rieder's and her minions' "Magic Hair" doctrine has been allowed to take seed and root in United Pentecostal theology.

Man Nature - (noun) Coined by TBA to explain the countless reasons for God's elevation of TBA as a critic of the male portion of the species. Includes blaming, controlling, failing to wash dishes, discussing specifics of Christian life, and other elements of fallen nature particular to the male. See reference.

Mexmorized - (adj) A term coined by NLYouthPastor to describe the feeling you get when you have no clue what someone is saying, but you want to schmooze them and make them feel good anyway.

Moderate - (noun) 1. The condition of fearing association with a minority. Collectively coined by the majority. 2. Really biblical.

Money Cometh - A term Vicki uses when describing how good God is to her by blessing the orphanage. The term is not well thought of by many who dislike the so-called prosperity doctrine.

More Cowbell - (idiom) Adopted, apparently, from an original Will Ferrell skit first seen on Saturday Night Live, where Ferrell appeared as the expressive cowbell percussionist and Christopher Walken as renowned producer, 'Bruce Dickenson, whose line, "I've got a fever and the only prescription is MORE COWBELL." The subsequent antics of Ferrell on the cowbell was something of a type or shadow of poster Screen Limited's frenetic vigilance in a - "Remember FCF and down with NFCF" stance.

Multiple Personalities AKA (Multiple User Names) - When a poster is in a state of boredom and registers Many User Names and starts bombarding the board with simultaneous postings from different user names in order to initiate a chain reaction. See Gluon, Peon, Qurkon, Muon, Klingon, etc.

Nannie - (noun) Policeman. Describing one who goes around "trying" to protect or defend those who may be chased by Posse. *See Posse and Wolfpack.

News - (noun) Gossip about people we don't like. *See Gossip and Newsflash.

NEWS FLASH - blatant gossip and talebearing justified by professionally packaging. *See also "Subscription News Flash"

NFCF CoB - (noun) Acronym for NFCF College of Bishops. An organization similar to the Posse, but with more relaxed membership standards.

NFCF ROCKS!!! - term coined by Bonnie Skye as a reminder of what a blessed place we have been provided to come, sit down, chat, debate, argue, cry, apologize and love! You Rock NFCF!!!

"On Ignore" - the 'phantom zone' of NFCF. Obnoxious posters are told they are put "on ignore" as a statement of contempt or simply as a means of objection to their antics. In fact, they are rarely put on ignore since the one who is 'ignoring' the other would have to use an extra mouse click for every one of the offender's posts that he wants to read - which of course is ALL of them.

Outright Lie - (noun) Used to describe a report that places a friend in a negative light. *See also Venting.

PAJC Position - (noun and adj) 1. Hardliners. 2. A position wherein no other explanation of scripture can exist outside the tenants of what a small group of men were able to impose on a larger, stronger, and better organized group because what they believed was really the true truth. 3. As per Carpenter: the true truth.

Pass The Tissues - touching, tearful, endearing post.

Pastor - (noun) A control freak who lives to abuse the poor mindless people who look to him for spiritual guidance. Largely considered to be unnecessary by the Enlightened and Liberated. See also Coopering.

Pastor Bashing - Term derived from the Posse when a member says anything against a pastor. *See also Venting.

PCI Position - (noun and adj) 1. The views of sincere but misinformed individuals who think you can be saved without Acts 2:38. 2. Of, or relating to, a distant past before sound doctrine was well established and published. Associated with personality cult.

Peek Principle - more appealing to have slit in long skirt than to just have skirt below knee length.

PM - a subchannel communication by which admins are mysteriously informed of who Thad likes.

PM Ethics - The study and subject of the use of PMs to generate sedition, interpersonal grief and then, when a Biblical response of making the improper private communications public is adopted, the crucifixion of that individual. Evidently PM ethics incorporates tribal sensibilities and a strong component of protection of the PM as an instrument of intrigue. Related, in the realm of sociology to PMS, which also includes men.

PMS - (acronym) Pedantic MENSAmember Syndrome. See also Wicked and Perverse.

Posse - (noun)

1. Describes a loosely defined group of posters. While the term has become a term of endearment to certain factions, it originally was used to describe and articulate the piling on, "riding to the rescue" and personal attacks; tactics used to tear down posters who have taken positions against what the Posse deems correct. The term "conservative posse" was used in passing but its first real use was by timlan2057

2. A group of scholarly and spiritual yet unassuming and fun-loving posters who are right about most everything and draw fire from carnal retreads as a result. Also, posters who are accused of ganging up on anyone in the Estrogen Brigade.

POTD - (acronym) Post Of The Day

Red Shoes - (noun) An apparatus for the human foot, made of leather or similar material with a rigid sole and heel. Used to tame or bribe the savage beast, namely, Hart2Hart who, upon viewing, becomes as calm as King Saul after David had played him a song.


Related To Thad - Term coined for those that have many, many, many misspelled words in their posts.

Resolution 6 - (noun) The only resolution of any importance at General Conference, everyone ignoring Resolutions 1 through 5, or anything after 6. The subject of more discussion on NFCF than anything previously.

Rock - (verb) The activity associated with those who compliment Bonnie Skye or show potential to do so. Example given: That Rocks! *See also, You Rock! -Term used on cool liberals by Bonnie Skye; and NFCF ROCKS! Term used to celebrate the outstanding coolness of the NFCF forum and its members.

Secretboardman - 1. Refers to HQ watching us here. 2. Not just a concept - an actual screenname. "Secretboardman" was birthed during joking banter on old FCF with Mike Flemming, Timlan2057, and a few others. Comparing the "Secret Board" to the Illuminati, timlan said such board REALLY ran the UPC and the General Board was just a figurehead. The joke was obvious when Secretboardman's first post was immediately following timlan's post and stated that he (secretboardman) "silenced" timlan. Secretboardman then became a sinister figure "from deep inside Hazelwood" who only posted around 25 times in two years. Most saw the screenname as a subtle joke but the originator got PMs he will never reveal from people he figured would know better who thought Secretboardman was indeed a real higher-up in the UPC. Secretboardman might have continued his shadowy existence but during a ton of lame alternate screennames on NFCF, Timlan confessed that he was Secretboardman. The screenname is now retired.


Shockamoo - (noun) This is a term coined by Thad to describe the demonstrative worship that has been one of the hallmarks of Oneness Pentecost. It includes, but is not limited to, dancing, running the aisles, leaping for joy, rolling on the floor, and various other exuberant expressions of praise. This is a kind of worship that is vigorously objected to by CC1 and other backsliders.


Shorts - (noun) A piece of clothing causing much dissention on NFCF, similar to pants, but coming only to the knees, or in Bro. Epley's case, his ankles.

- Symbol meaning.....Reason an Apostolic woman could want to cut her hair! Now that can "crack" you up! *Ask Pressing-On!

Sisterhood - (noun) Maligned affinity by those who participated in the hijacking of GOEWKTS. Some of the Sisterhood are Wolf Pack Groupies, others seem to be part of the Estrogen Brigade. Also, only attributed to women who don't cower or cozy up to men. See also: Feminazis.


Skin A Liberal - A picturesque phrase describing the compassionate attempts of conservatives to take the Sword of the Spirit in hand and remove the carapace of carnality, rebellion, and sometimes deception, that keeps a liberal from seeing the Truth. A common ministry effort of The Posse. *See also Christlike.

Slippery Slope - 1. Phrase used for those that have let down their standards in one way or another. 2. A term used by those trying to discuss a point using logic and sound reasoning but who cannot break away from the influence of tradition, therefore making their argument illogical.

Slimy Slithering Snakes - Adjective Thad uses to describe those set as invisible.

Smiley - (noun) Graphical expressions expanded to personalized mini-icons. See

Snarky - (verb) To respond in a really sarcastic, snippy way. *See Chancellor and Roxanne Murphy.

Sharpsticking - (verb) To ignore a direct warning from admin & openly challenge them on the board. Secondary meaning-The action of not seeing the "BAN" freight train coming

Spastic Pentecost - A term coined by rrford to identify the out of control flailing, screaming, black-eye causing, hole-in-the-wall punching contortions some folks call worship. It's antitheical scripture would be "Let all things be done decently and in order."

Starbucks - CC1's version of church.

Strawman - Overalls and a plaid flannel shirt filled with straw and placed on a stick out in a cornfield with a hat on top...er...uh...um...that's a SCARECROW....but it's straw, ain't it??? Also means, DUMMY DUMMY DUMMY!!! stupid, irrelevent, moronic comment.

Take It To PM - When conversation becomes heated, liberals often want to take the discourse outside public view, being squeamish about unseemly conflict. This phrase has never, in the history of NFCF, been used by a member of the Posse. *See Gone Charismatic. *See Venting.

Tawanda - Large girlfriend of Thad's. *See also Chocolate Surprise.


TBN - (noun) The mouthpiece for the harlot church.

The Bridge - Relating to mysterious events and persons (including Felicity) now shrouded in mystery, in ancient New Brunswick. *See also Moonlight on the Miramichi.

The Exaltation of Thad - Mythological events immediately preceding recorded history where, by a strange turn of events, protection of gossip served as the basis for the mighty men, Timlan, CC1, and Pianoman to abandon their seats in glory and seek a more perfect place. One of the strangest of all the ancient texts.

The Island - Mythological location, wherein, it is believed that the current pantheon of NFCF was formed on the anvil of loyalty during the time of testing, when the goddess Vicki, and the demigod Mike sought to contest over the influence of the shrine of JY.

The Kiss - Refers to a time way back in the history of Renda and CC1. An event marking the apogee of CC1's adolescence, and constituting one of the memories Renda would most like to erase. It's revelation marks CC as one who was want to "Kiss and tell."
