He is a dynamic speaker who was dedicated to the Lord before birth by his praying mother. She gave him back to the Lord like Hannah did to Samuel saying “If you give me a man child, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life.”

At the age of nine, Dr. Jeffers was baptized in Jesus Name and the Lord filled him with the Holy Ghost. By the age of 12, he spoke his first sermon and by age 14 he was speaking regularly. Dr. Jeffers graduated from Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School and the Lord led him on to Bible College. He received his Doctorate in Christian Counseling from the University of Biblical Studies in Parkersburg, West Virginia.

Dr. Jeffers is truly an anointed preacher led by the Spirit. He is an international evangelist who has been commissioned to preach the mind of God to His people."

Personal Responsibility

I am having a hard time trying to factor in...

I am having a hard time trying to factor in "personal repsonsibility" in making serious, life altering decisions.

It really, really frustrates and annoy me when things continue to go bad when I have the personal power to stop the madness so to speak.

So when it looks bad, and when things go bad, I am the one responsible for my life and my life's decisions.

What about the God Factor? No one cares about the God Factor when it comes to my personal repsonsibilites.

When is He responsible and when is it ever acceptable to "place the responsibility for bad" on God?

Never! I know this in my head and in my heart. Yet I am frustrated.

I am supposed to live my life in a way that pleases Him-- including listening to and obeying the godly advice of people like my Pastor.

So I am struggling financially-- still don't see a clear end in sight, and I think I am going to go against the advice I was given and seek employment overseas.

Of course it does not sit well to think this, type this or say this.

No, I haven't spoke with him about this.

But I am tired.

Nothing is working out in a way where I can make financial progress.

I can make it paycheck to paycheck.

Maybe in a few months, I'll be able to start putting some towards paying off my nearly 50K in debts-- but if the current trends continue, there will be some other crisis. If not immediately, it will come sooner or later, something to deter my financial well being.

It will be much quicker for me to pay off my debts and move on with my life in a half a year then to be continued to be saddled with this for however how long it takes.

Who will pay my bills?

Did God step in and stop my foreclosure?

How about the other financial stuff that is on my record-- where is He?

How come no one wants to forgive me of my debts? I've already forgiven so many people, so many times, concerning so many issues. I have forgiven them.

Where is the guy that gives the advice to not do this or not do that?

Maybe he wants to pay me bills for me.

Why do I feel like my hands are tied?

I feel like I am just plain lost and that my efforts to seek God and a closer relationship with Him are not only vain, but costly-- which makes what I'm doing, or maybe the way I am going about doing what I'm doing stupid and foolish.

Like I know God cares and loves. He provides. He blesses. He lifts up.

But if He is Sovereign, He took my job away knowing that I would not be able to pay off my debts without it. He knew that a couple years later that I would be somewhere in Florida, wondering how I could have messed my life up financially so badly when it could have been different if He had just let me keep my job. He knew that when I would seek advice on going overseas, I would be advised against itm, thus setting up my life for more financial ruin and even legal issues-- all of which could have been avoided.

Honestly, I really know how I can fix this even now or how to have avoided all of this from the get go.

It just makes me so frustrated and angry!

My life is all my fault-- it's all my responsibility, but what about God?

Where is HE in this?

Nothing makes any sense and I am just tired of all the BS that could have been avoided!

The last couple of years have been utter lunacy! Pretty much, I have failed at life, and that miserably.

He's God. I'm man. He's my Creator-- who am I to demand anything of Him. I won't.

I will tell Him that I am tired and I am done with going in this direction.

An Abomination

I received this from an Apostolic/Pentecostal...

I received this from an Apostolic/Pentecostal minister and thought I'd pass it on without comment.

10 Reasons why CHRISTIAN MEN should REJECT the EVIL PRACTICE of WEARING A NECKTIE:

1	As a piece of clothing a necktie is SUPERFLUOUS. It serves NO FUNCTION BUT ORNAMENTATION. This makes it by definition IMMODEST and OSTENTATIOUS, appealing to the LUST OF THE EYES and PRIDE OF LIFE! (1 John 2:15)

2	As such, a necktie is nothing more than SILK JEWELRY!

3	Neckties are often made in BRIGHT COLORS (like RED, PURPLE and even PINK) and BOLD, PATTERNS. Again, this serves no purpose but to DRAW ATTENTION to the FLESH!

4	Most neckties are made of SILK. We all know what silk is used for: WOMEN’S UNDERWEAR! This makes wearing a necktie a VILE ABOMINATION according to DEUTERONOMY 22:5!

5	Furthermore, many of the patterns on neckties are SIMILAR or IDENTICAL TO those on WOMEN’S DRESSES (i.e., PAISLEY or even FLOWERS). ABOMINATION!

6	Many designers of neckties are KNOWN HOMOSEXUALS! Why would a GODLY MAN want something HANGING AROUND HIS NECK that is the personal expression of the PERVERTED HEART of a SODOMITE?

7	Whatever Lot had in Sodom, HE LEFT IN SODOM. Shouldn’t you leave this FLIMSY FLAG OF SODOM behind as well?

(NOTE: THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS GRAPHIC LANGUAGE. PLEASE DON’T ALLOW WOMEN TO READ ANY FARTHER)

8	A long necktie tied around a man’s neck is itself a PHALLIC SYMBOL (in the shape of the MALE SEX ORGAN). What messages are conveyed to the subconscious mind of those around you as you PARADE before them wearing this SYMBOL of LASCIVIOUSNESS?

9	Satan is often depicted with PHALLIC SYMBOLS. This only further DEMONSTRATES how EVIL AND DEMONIC this THING is, and how easy it is for the DEVIL to SNEAK IN to our BEDROOMS through the CLOTHING hanging in our CLOSETS!

10	ALMOST ALL NECKTIES ARE POINTED AT THE BOTTOM, the part that reaches TO OR BELOW THE BELT. WHY IS IT POINTED? WHAT IS IT POINTING TO?

DEAR SAINT OF GOD, HOW CAN WE CHRISTIANS TOLERATE OUR PREACHERS, SINGERS, AND SUPPOSED LEADERS PARADING ACROSS OUR PLATFORMS ADVERTISING ON THEIR BELLIES EVERY SIN OF UNCLEANNESS AND PERVERSION THERE IS? WE MUST PUT A STOP TO IT! PRINT THIS MESSAGE AND SHOW IT TO YOUR PASTOR. TELL HIM YOU MUST WITHHOLD YOUR TITHE AS LONG AS HE INSISTS ON SPENDING IT ON SUCH ABOMINATIONS! GOD HATES SIN! HIS JUDGMENT IS COMING TO THE MEN OF SODOM

Automatic Transmission? Hmmmmmm?.......A few...

Automatic Transmission? Hmmmmmm?.......A few days ago a parking attendant was, as usual, directing us to back up our vehicle and park our family sized van in a "shoebox" sized parking place. Backing and parking a large vehicle in these extremely tight garages can be quite a nightmare with the attendant giving wild hand signals and emotional instructions in Spanish. Having had enough of watching our attendant flay his arms wildly about in an "octopus" dance, we got out of the vehicle and said, "Here, you do it!” By the expression on his face it was obvious no one had ever dared stand up to him before! He reluctantly got into our vehicle and sat there for several minutes. "What could he be being doing?, we thought." Suddenly he slowly and awkwardly began to drive the van to a larger, more easily accessible parking space. "Ahhhhhh, we thought! He can't back into that mouse-hole either!" When he arrived at the new space, he again kept the vehicle stationary for a few minutes before proceeding to back up the van. Sis. Guidry and I scurried for cover and finally, after several minutes of back and forward maneuvers, the van was parked. The attendant gave me the keys and with an embarrassed smile and a sheepish look in his eyes, explained, "I was looking for the "a" in the steering column. This is an automatic, isn't it? I thought it would drive and park itself!" Most transmissions in Spain are standard. I had never thought of an automatic transmission in this light! I guess now after almost 30 years in the ministry, we can finally say we have seen and heard it all!

My wife and I are amazed we feel like we have to protect our kids from church. If they go to the alter we go as well to make sure no one "gives them the Holy ghost". We see it alot, IMO, follks say hallelejah(sp?) real fast or cries then someone wantss to say they got it.

Yesterday our sons SS teacher told my son if he dies in an accident he's gong to hell to try to get him baptized. I teach my son about baptism, but told him it's between him and God. When God touches his heart with repentance then baptism will mean something. What is baptism if a child is forced or pressued??? Anyhow, he listened and absorbed it in I believe.

Just think it's kinda of sad you feel you got to protect kids from church, but it's true.

I remember being in the world before the UPC. I...

I remember being in the world before the UPC. I felt the injustice of many things and saw the structure of the world and how it favored some over others and gave perks to some over others that didn't deserve it, that perhaps slimed their way up, or, often were simply born into their silver spoon status.

I was raised poor, with an alcoholic father who had been the illegitimate son of a 16 year old raped girl. My Dad was later adopted by a divorced man who married my grandmother. They had four more children. They worked a farm and all slept in the upstairs of a house that grew huge icicles on the inside in the winter and dripped on them in the spring. They divorced after my Dad moved out because my grandfather was having an affair and threw my aunt on the floor when she confronted him about it.

My mother grew up materially poor in a family of 14 children. They ate molasses sandwiches and slept many to a bed, covered with coats and blankets for warmth. My mother gave her cousin an empty spool of thread for her birthday. My grandfather was a commerical seasonal fisherman. My grandmother used to cry in the outhouse because she had so many children and did not want anymore, but the Catholic church did not believe in birth control and my grandfather always said "God will provide".

Compared to my parents, I grew up well off, in a house with wood heat that didn't drip on me. We had a real toilet that flushed. I got two new outfits for school every year and if we were lucky, on our back to school trip, we were allowed a cheesburger at McDonalds. (No happy meals as they were too expensive.) We ate venison and fish and garden produce.

My mother used to sing in bars when I was young and us kids often went. I talked to many a drunk on a barstool. My brother and I would stick our arms up into the pool table and pull the balls out because we didn't have any quarters to play pool. My Mom and Dad would fight as my Mom would want to go home after a while and my Dad would want to stay. My Dad used to give me peppermint schnapps on the rocks when I was young. I got drunk first at age 12 and continued the pattern until I was 19.

I saw much injustice in the world. I saw how people who were born into perfect (to me) families had it knocked. I saw how they knew the rules and they knew how to use them to their advantage. I saw how they got all the perks at school and how they were popular and how they got good grades, nice clothes, cars, money and perks.

I did some of that stuff. But I had to work very hard for whatever I got, because it was never handed on a silver platter. I had to learn the rules for myself and earn my keep.

I drove past a church in Gainesville,TX today,...

I drove past a church in Gainesville,TX today, and right on the HWY there was a billboard that said;

"THIS IS THE CHURCH that started on Pentecost in 33 AD"
with an arrow pointing down and the churches name and address.

It was like the burning bush to me, I had to pull off the road and see it.

The church was a very small church, almost shack like no windows on the front. Its services were Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday night, but on the front door was this note "Thursday Night Services have been cancelled until further notice"

Of course, this was a Jesus name church.

Here's the sad thing:

I was told by a person who knows the pastor of that church that they have about 3 people who attend there. (whether thats accurate or not, they don't have many)

There is an open lot right beside the church, and then a very nice oneness church on the same side of the road, about 100 yards away. I am told these churches do not fellowship. I am told in fact that of the 4 oneness churches in Gainesville, none fellowship. (I dont know if that is a fact, I have been told that, and based on my experience in oneness, it wouldn't suprise me).

WHat is so sad is that people get such a spiritually elite mindset that they think they are right, they are the only saved church and people, and they waste away in years of obscurity while missing the joys of being in the body of Christ and fellowshipping other Christians and making a united effort to reach their city for Christ. Instead the "true" church has a service cancelled until further notice, therefore effectively closing the door to heaven to any who would come (at least in their minds).

This mindset is sad to me, that people will dedicate their whole lives to something, only to find out in the end they had it all wrong. I do believe people like that can be/are saved, but they completely miss the abundant life and the thrills of truly belonging to the church all over spiritual eliteness and either ignorance, pride, or both.

Since many people do not really know what it is...

Since many people do not really know what it is to be a missionary I have always felt a burden to share with you our life. That is why many times we not only share our victories but our defeats! I am encouraging my boys to write and post pictures hoping that they will follow my footsteps helping others to understand the life of a missionary.

Knowing more about the missionaries we support helps us to know better how to pray for them.

Over the years I hope many of you have had a glance into our busy fruitful lives...however missionaries could not do what they do if it were not for our homeland suppoters...some of God's most noble people are homeland supporters.
May God bless you precious ones.

David Bernard has called a few of his men together and come up with a resolution that will give the district boards power to deal with churches that are not abiding by the UPCI manual, and not preaching and teaching the manual.
